S70 Dubai number plate fetches Dh1.9m in RTA auction

The second most expensive bid was for number AA9, which fetched Dh1.82 million.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has raised at least Dh19.751 million during the 103rd open number plates auction held on Saturday at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

Special plate S70 topped the sales after fetching Dh1.9 million, followed by AA99, which was sold for Dh1.82 million, while H333 was acquired for Dh970,000.

RTA offered about 90 fancy plates for bidding in this auction comprising two-, three-, four- and five-digit plates of categories (AA-H-I-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V).
