A food festival in Dubai on December 2-3 will feature authentic Sri Lankan delicacies. Organised by Rush Events at Zabeel Park, leading food vendors and hotels will dish out authentic treats so as to give the cosmopolitan population of the UAE a slice of the famous Sri Lankan cuisine.
“If you are a food enthusiast, visit us from 10am to 11pm to taste incredible and diverse food variations through 50 stalls,” said Rush Events.
Many dishes from the island nation are spicy and aromatic, with the cuisine featuring rich and often colourful combinations of spices, herbs, rice, fish and coconut.
In addition to the culinary experience, the event will have musicians belting out popular tunes. Visitors will also be able to buy clothes and other products and take part in photography competitions.
Tickets have been priced at Dh40 per person.
Rush Events has collaborated with the Sri Lankan diplomatic missions to organise the festival that fuses culinary and music experiences.
