Driver molests teen in Dubai, threatens to kill himself if she told anyone

A private driver has gone on trial in Dubai for molesting his employer's daughter with threats that he will commit suicide if she told anyone.
Standing before the Dubai Court of First Instance, the 30-year-old Indian driver faced molestation and inciting 'sin' for sending the 12-year-old girl inappropriate pictures of himself on WhatsApp.
According to court records, the driver took the opportunity to touch the girl inappropriately while dropping her off to school for a year and a half. He would also send her inappropriate pictures of himself on WhatsApp.
When she threatened to tell her father, he said he would commit suicide if she told anyone.
The Indian girl told prosecutors he would sometimes take advantage of her presence at home, particularly in the kitchen with no one around. "He touched me inappropriately and sometimes kissed me on the cheek. When I threatened him to inform my father, he said he will commit suicide so I remained quiet," she said.
At some point, she said, he cut his wrist and sent photos of it on WhatsApp, which scared her with the possibility that her family might get into trouble.
Finally - in October 2016 - when the defendant left the house after molesting her, she started crying to get her parents' attention.
The family reported the incident to the police.
The defendant confessed to the prosecutors that he had molested the girl - when she was alone with him in the car.  
The court adjourned the case to question him through a translator.
