The footage shows two men stealing Dh15,000 from a victim.
According to Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm, which cited the Dubai Public Prosecution, the victim, an Indian, was walking by a supermarket when he was kicked several times by one of the attackers on his right side. After the attack, the accused apologised, explaining that he thought he was attacking a different person.
After that, another man pushed him from the back, yet the victim kept walking on his way thinking it was a mistake. Moments later, the victim checked his pocked to find that he had been robbed of Dh15,000. He called the police, who reviewed the CCTV cameras in the area, and found one of the accused.
One of them was arrested, and the victim identified him during the police investigation.
His case was submitted to the criminal court for further legal procedures.
