The Ajman Municipality has seized a residential property and nabbed its residents for running an illegal slaughter house.
According to Ajman Municipality, the emirate's Public Health Administration team, in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development, seized a residential house in Al Rawda 1 area where unlicensed commercial activities were being undertaken.
Residents of the property were slaughtering animals in unhygienic conditions, selling the meat to establishments and individuals, the municipality wrote on their Instagram account.
Besides the residential house, two other facilities were also seized for flouting commercial activity norms and storing goods in unlicensed warehouses.
