So pretty
In the mood for style? We're amazed by how frequent and popular these events are, but they never disappoint. Indian and Pakistani lifestyle exhibition Sopritti is on Saturday at the Roda Al Murooj hotel from 11am. It's an all-day fun affair full of designer gear and everything you need for the new season.
Music season
There are so many performances! The Flag Island Amphitheatre in Sharjah will witness the opening ceremony of the Sharjah World Music Festival at 9pm on Friday with the exceptional voice of Faia Younan. She was recently named the Best Syrian Singer for 2018 at the German Daf Bama Music Awards.

Elissa's here!
A legend, or what? DSF is coming to a close and Lebanese superstar Elissa will be in the city on Friday to celebrate. Taking place at 9pm at Global Village, the singer will take to the park's main stage to perform all her hits including Ajmal Ihsas and Bastanak. The show is included in the Dh15 entry fee.
Market trades
With Market Outside The Box (MOTB) in full swing until February 2, emerging designers are showcasing their products to an ever-growing audience. Located at Burj Park, you can find bespoke and one-of-a-kind pieces during the all-day event.

Enjoy the last of the spectacular firework displays by Al Zarooni Group taking place tonight, Friday and Saturday from 8pm at The Beach, 8.30pm at Al Seef and 9pm at La Mer, where the sky will be a canvas for the mesmerising colours.

Everyone still has a chance to see Light Art DXB; a breath-taking installation combining the elements of movement and light. Creating a dynamic environment from optimally placed giant mirrors, Light Art DXB bathes Downtown Dubai's Burj Park Plaza in a mesmerising kaleidoscope of light. The display of six dynamic sculptures, created through rotating mirrors and supported by a strategic placement of light, complements Burj Park Plaza as a reflection base for the Burj Khalifa.
Play's the thing
Who can resist a splash of culture in their lives? We know we always need topping up. Othello marks the first Shakespeare play to be staged at Dubai Opera in 2019. Following a critically-acclaimed tour and London run, Richard Twyman's energetic production of Othello will be performed nightly until February 2 to add world-class theatre to Dubai Opera's wide range of entertainment offerings. Tickets start from Dh150.
