Two Emiratis, aged 13 and 19, allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-boy, also Emirati, in the majlis at the house of one of them.
Their 12-year-old compatriot friend allegedly filmed the boy naked while the 13-year-old allegedly posted the material on Instagram.
Their other friend, a 14-year-old compatriot, allegedly stood there watching but was not involved.
Only the 19-year-old is standing trial in the Court of First Instance. He did not attend the hearing on Wednesday. The 13-year-old accomplice has been referred to the Juveniles Court on charges including breaching others' privacy, posting inappropriate material online and sexual assault.
The complaint was filed on April 21 by the boy's mother at Hatta police centre.
The boy's mother, a 33-year-old Azerbaijani housewife, said she checked her son's mobile phone and saw a clip featuring other male persons trying to sexually assault him.
"My son told me that two persons stopped him in the neighborhood and dragged him by force inside the majlis of the house of one of them. There his clothes were forcibly taken off".
The boy told the prosecutor that the 12-year-old was intimidated into filming the incident after the two main accused threatened to sexually assault him as well.
The Instagram account of one of the accused could not be examined because it was made private.
The evidence includes a clip showing a boy being stripped off his clothes by force by other persons and filming him.
Only two were charged in the case for lack of sufficient evidence. The other two youngsters denied any wrongdoing all along the investigation.
