#RaiseitHigh campaign reaches 2 million participants

Abu Dhabi - 'Raise It High' campaign launched by the Ministry of Culture as part of the 45th National Day Celebrations

The number of participants in the electronic campaign ' Raise It High' launched by Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, on the third of November until December 5, has reached two million participations so far.
More than 79 ministries and federal and local organisations took part in the campaign as well as a large number of prominent UAE personalities.
#RaiseItHigh is a campaign to encourage people to interact with the UAE National Day via social media platforms and boost the spirit of national pride among both Emiratis and residents alike.
The campaign aims to strengthen the meanings of belonging, loyalty, cohesion and unity, and gives the opportunity to citizens and residents of the UAE to express their feelings towards the UAE and its Flag.

How to Participate

Raise the UAE flag from the MCKD's website by following the link uaeflag.ae or by using the hashtag #RaiseItHigh on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Every time the hashtag is used, the flag will rise one step upwards.

Names of participants will be shown on the dedicated website with a thank you message.

You can also take part directly via the ministry's website by clicking on 'Raise the Flag' link. 

Among the federal, local institutions whose staff has participated in the "Raise It High" campaign:
The Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Community Development, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of International Cooperation, the Emirates Nuclear Energy, Family Development, Dar Zayed Foundation for humanitarian care, Dubai Media Institute, Zayed Higher organization for Humanitarian Care and Special needs, Family Development Foundation, Abu Dhabi Airports and Dubai Airports. In addition to a large number of universities, including United Arab Emirates University, University of EMU, Hamdan Electronic University, Ajman University, University of Mohammed V Abu Dhabi, Higher Colleges of Technology. In addition to Sharjah Documents, Abu Dhabi Health Authority, Dubai Health Authority, Roads and Transport Authority Dubai, Pensions and Insurance Authority, Community Development Authority in Dubai, Electricity and Water Authority in Abu Dhabi, in addition to a large number of local authorities in Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
A number of UAE prominent dignitaries also took part in the campaign 'Raise It High':
Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Shaikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Economic Development Department in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, Ali Al Hamli, Director of the News Center in DMI, Salem Al Ghaithi, Director of Programs at the Sharjah Media Corporation, Khalid Sultan, Director of UAE Dot, Sheikh Ahmed Al Mualla, and Dr. Ali Al Mansouri, Deputy General Manager of Operations in Higher Colleges of Technology.
Abdulla Al Nuami, Head of Government Communications Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, confirmed that reaching 2 million participations in the "Raise It High" campaign reflects interaction of all segments of society with the initiative and its success in reaching large segments of society. He further priced the fruitful participation and support of all Federal and Local ministries and institutions in the campaign.
Al Nuami commended the participation of a large number of prominent personalities in the UAE which had a profound impact in encouraging large sectors to participate. He added that participations are still opened to all citizens and residents until the fifth of December, calling for all residents on the land of this dear homeland to participate.
Al Nuami explained that the initiative has the support and follow-up of Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, who was the first to sign marking the launch of the campaign.
