Israel and Hamas blame each other as Netanyahu rules out the group's demand for an end to the war in exchange for the freeing of hostages
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police said roads in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain and Al Dhafra - in particular - will be patrolled closely, particularly over the tunnels and on the main roads.
Surveillance by cameras and radars will also be intensified during the occasion, to monitor any traffic violations, said Brigadier Khalifa Al Khalili, the Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate.
Brigadier Al Khalili particularly warned young drivers to drive safely, abide by the law and to not cause traffic disruptions during the celebrations.
Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Zouaydi, Director of Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said roads in Al Ain will also have more police patrol.
He reiterated that all motorists must comply with traffic laws to ensure smooth movement of traffic over the long weekend.
Meanwhile, in Al Dhafra region, Colonel Mohammed Muslim Al Muhrami, Director of the Al Dhafra Traffic and Patrols Department, confirmed the intensification of traffic control in the area and also urged drivers to stay safe on the roads.
Abu Dhabi Police also said motorists can only decorate their vehicles from November 22 until December 6.
Police warn drivers to not cover the windscreens or license plates, and avoid parking on the roads, drifting, speeding or obstruct traffic.
Police have also warn against creating a commotion through loudspeakers or sound equipment.
Brigadier Al Khalili urged the community to celebrate the joyous occasion safely.
