Three more days for 50% discount in traffic fines
Motorists in Sharjah who have been slapped with traffic fines have until Wednesday to take advantage of a 50 per cent discount which has been in place for the last four months.
Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police Colonel Shawaf Abdulrahman said the deadline is fast approaching and motorists should pay their fines or be faced with forking out the full amount.
Colonel Abdulrahman confirmed this week is the last chance for people to benefit from the reduction that has been in effect since the start of April. He noted that a large percentage of pending fines have been settled, and noted that a report will be issued following the end of the deadline to show the number of fines that remain unpaid.
