The trial, the first-of-its-kind in the region, involved a small-sized drone, which can carry two passengers for up to 35km
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols urged motorists on both sides of Al Raha Beach Road to exercise caution and respect speed limits indicated on signboards along the construction detours. The speed limit will help curtail traffic accidents, they said.
Radars will be set at 121 kmph in both directions from Al Qanat Bridge (the Channel Bridge) to Shaikh Zayed Bridge to discourage violators. The directorate urged motorists travelling on the Al Raha Beach Road to exercise caution, not only to avoid radar fines, but for their own safety and that of others.
