RTA honours 110 
bus drivers

The Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has honoured 110 of its public vehicle, commercial transport and inter-city drivers in the emirate for their distinctive performance and dedication in conducting their daily tasks.

They were honoured for their behaviour, characterised by their high class and discipline with passengers and compliance with the traffic rules which, in turn, enhanced the authority’s image.

Director of Bus at the agency Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali said: “The RTA’s Public Transport Agency is constantly working to upgrade the work of public vehicle drivers who drive on the streets and roads of Dubai and the commercial and inter-city transport drivers.

The agency always underlines the need that they should comply with the standards of customer service attributed to the vital role they play as they are considered the authority’s ambassadors among all social segments.”

The drivers were honoured under four categories: the Outstanding Driver Award, under which 83 drivers were honoured; the Honest Driver Award went to five; the Mystery Shopper Award was bagged by 20 and two were honoured for bringing the highest revenues.
