Team owner Mukesh Kochhar hails 'outstanding’ ladies as he pays tribute to his tried and tested squad of players
Ras Al Khaimah - The Traffic and Patrol Department of the Ras Al Khaimah Police has impounded 88 cars and 490 motorbikes in the first quarter of the year for serious traffic violations.
Brigadier Ghanim Ahmed Ghanim, Director-General of the Central Operations Room, RAK Police, on Saturday said most of the seized cars did not have number plates, while most of the impounded motorbikes were unlicensed.
“The vehicles and motorbikes impounded were part of intensive inspection raids launched across the emirate as per the directives of the commander-in-chief of the RAK Police to enhance road users’ safety and security.”
Prior to the raids, campaigns were launched to develop traffic awareness among drivers and parents about speeding and traffic accidents. -ahmedshaaban@khaleejtimes.com
