The Emirates called for strengthening the international humanitarian response and providing urgent relief to those in need
According to TransAD, the initiative has been undertaken in line with the overall progress that the emirate is witnessing and the government’s Vision for Abu Dhabi 2030.
“We are about to launch a unique service in the emirate as part of our strategic plan to provide the highest international standards of taxi service in the Capital and to keep our services in line with the rapid growth of the emirate,” said general manager Mohamed Al Qamzi.
The new fleet will comprise 200 luxury taxis, with Mercedes Vito models serving Terminals 1 and 3 and Toyota Camry at Terminal 2. Equipped with modern features, the objective is to provide an unparalleled experience for travellers at all times.
New facilities will include amenities for the elderly and special needs passengers, navigation system in the taxi, speed control as well as digital roof lights.
The centre partnered with Emirates Transport Corporation to meet the public needs and provide a more convenient service, he added.
