Four arrested in Al Ain after stunt driving video goes viral

Abu Dhabi - Police urges motorists to follow traffic rules as such stunts endanger people's lives.

Abu Dhabi Police's social media unit has issued arrest warrants for four persons for traffic violations after their social media post committing the act went viral.
The four recorded themselves performing stunts on Al Ain's roads and residential areas, and published them on social media websites.
"Three persons were racing and performing the illegal stunts late at night, while a fourth person was recording them to show off their driving skills on social media. The video soon went viral, eventually catching the police's attention too," said Major Saif Mohammed Naif Al Ameri, Head of Investigations Department at Al Ain Traffic Department.
In a statement posted on social media, the police said that necessary procedures were followed to arrest them, added that such behaviour encourages the youth to commit similar violations.
Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Al Zuwaidi, Director of the traffic department in Al Ain, urged motorists to follow traffic rules and avoid such reckless behaviour that endangered people's lives and disturbed people in their houses.
