Q-22 and Z-31 are among the fancy vehicle number plates up for grabs during an upcoming auction in Dubai.
About 100 premium number plates of two, three, four and five digits will be on offer at the 108th open auction hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Additionally, one plate for vintage vehicles and another one for motorbikes will be on sale.
The auction will be held at 4.30pm on Saturday, December 18, at the Hilton Hotel, Al Habtoor City. Registration of bidders starts on Sunday, December 12.
Seats are limited, and priority will be given to bidders, the RTA said. “It is recommended to pre-register for the auction. However, registration will also be available at the bidding hall.”
The sale of number plates is subject to a 5 per cent VAT. Each bidder is required to have a traffic file in Dubai, and deposit a security cheque amounting to Dh25,000 addressed to the RTA. Bidders also have to pay a non-refundable auction fee of Dh120.
