Dubai — Number plates with the logo of Brand Dubai are selling like hot cakes. Some 12,000 have been sold from December 15 till now, Ahmad Behroozyan, CEO of Roads and Transport Authority’s Licensing Agency, told Khaleej Times in an interview.
“Ten RTA centres have been designated to deal with the applications for these number plates,” Behroozyan said.
These centres will start receiving applications for the number plates from January 21, he said.
The numbers and letters on the plates are done via digital printing, which will not be affected by weather conditions. The cost for front and rear plates is Dh420.
Residents can apply for these signature number plates through the RTA website, its smart phone application or via its call centre.
