An iPhone6 Plus was left charred and melted after its battery exploded in a repair shop. The owner of the phone had taken the device to a repair shop in Queensland to get the damaged screen fixed besides getting the battery checked, the Daily Mail reported.
However, as the shop owner began to examine the phone, the battery of the iPhone exploded. The incident was caught on the store's CCTV camera.
The clip shows the phone exploding with smoke before it is burnt, making it useless. The store remained closed for rest of the day because of the fumes. "A customer came into the store with a screen damaged iPhone 6 Plus for repair," the spokesperson of the store was quoted as saying by ViralHog.

"The customer wanted the broken screen repaired and complained of the Apple genuine battery not holding charge."
"We removed the customer's Otterbox and prepared to book the phone in. Then, the customer picked up phone and applied a regular amount of pressure to the screen, the same as any normal person would do every day during regular use. The battery failed and exploded.The initial force of the explosion caused the screen to come off the phone."
