Skipper Virat Kohli scored his second half-century of this edition of the IPL as the Royal Challengers put up a decent total against the Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on Saturday night.
The 31-year-old stood firm after the loss of openers Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal as well as AB de Villiers to come up with his 38th fifty of the IPL. The Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 169-4 in 20 overs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Kohli, who has the most runs in the IPL, carved out an unbeaten 90 from 52 deliveries that was studded with four sixes and an equal number of boundaries.
He was also involved in a 53-run partnership with Padikkal, with the youngster making 33 from 34 balls with two fours and a six.
Shivam Dube then came up with a cameo of 22 from 14 deliveries with two boundaries and a six. Kohli, who had made an unbeaten 72 and 43 against the Rajasthan Royals and the Delhi Capitals respectively, and Dube put on an unbroken stand for the fifth wicket that was worth 76 runs..
Pacer Shardul Thakur snapped up two wickets, those of Padikkal and de Villiers, who fell for a duck.
Kohli called right at the toss and opted to take first strike. Both sides made changes to their playing XI with South African all-rounder Chris Morris passing fit and a like-for-like replacement for Englishman Moeen Ali, while Mohammed Siraj made way for Gurkeerat Singh Mann, for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
