The Blues signed Rosa on a three-year contract with the Brazilian joining from relegated club Hatta. "Al Nasr Football Company officially announce the hiring of Brazilian player Samuel Rosa for three years," the club said on social media.
The 27-year-old Rosa had initially joined Hatta on loan from Brazilian club Fluminense in the 2016-17 season. He spent two seasons with Hatta during which he made 44 appearances, scored 21 goals and had seven assists.
Rosa made 23 appearances during his first season with Hatta and had 10 goals and five assists. The recently concluded season saw Rosa score 11 goals and make two assists. But Rosa, who had loan spells with Los Angeles Galaxy and Brazilian clubs Golas, Sport and Ferroviaria, could not help Hatta stay in the UAE top flight.
