Bolivia coach Cesar Farias eyes 2022 World Cup

Dubai - Even Brazil and Argentina have struggled in the high altitude venue in Laz Paz

Bolivia coach Cesar Farias says qualifying for the 2022 World Cup is his team's biggest ambition.
"Coming all the way from Bolivia and playing against a good Asian team is never easy. So I am happy with the match," said Farias after his team's goalless draw with the UAE in Dubai on Friday.
"It was a good match in terms of our preparations for the 2019 Copa America. I have faith in these players. I dream of qualifying for the World Cup," he added. The South American nation haven't qualified for the World Cup since 1994, and Farias says his team must take advantage of their home conditions in the grueling World Cup qualifiers in South America.
Even Brazil and Argentina have struggled in the high altitude venue in Laz Paz.
"Our players are used to playing in high altitude in La Paz. All national teams struggle there. Even Brazil and Argentina have struggled at our home stadium," he said.
"So we have to get as many points as we can from our home matches if we want to qualify for the next World Cup.
"If we can get six or more points from our away matches then we can bank on our home advantage to beat the top teams to qualify for the World Cup. That's the goal."
