The decision was taken on Friday late night after an urgent meeting of the club’s board of directors.

The UAE juniors national team coach Abdul Majeed Al Nimr has been appointed caretaker coach up to the end of the season pending the recruitment of a new manager.

Sharjah, an eight-time record holder of the President’s Cup and five times national league champions were ousted from the preliminary rounds of the prestigious competition by the first division side Masafi for the first time of the club’s history, under Kajuda.

They have also slipped to the 8th position of the national league’s table with 23 points and need to improve to maintain their premier league status.
