It was a heart-breaking moment for the students in Saudi Arabia who received gifts from their deceased teacher.
The teacher, Sultan Abdel Aziz Al Turki, had died of a sudden heart attack. He had ordered gifts worth 20 thousand Saudi riyals (Dh19,595) for his students before his death.
"He was highly skilled in dealing with young students, using innovative teaching methods and encouraging fair competition among them," Abdul Aziz, the teacher's son, told Al Arabiya, adding that he loved his job.
Sultan Abdel Aziz Al Turki had been a teacher for over 18 years.
"My father used to allocate three rooms at home to put the toys he had brought from the Kingdom," the son said, adding that when he received the toys shipment ordered by his late father, he sent it to the school where it was distributed among the students at Ibn Khaldun School in Riyadh."
