A father in Egypt struck a deal with his son and made it appear that the child had been kidnapped so that he could ask the child's mother to pay the ransom.

Egyptian media reported that the mother, who works in an Arab country, received a message which said that her son had been kidnapped, and demanded a ransom of EGP150,000 (Dh35,000 approximately).

The mother rang up the father for help, and was asked by him to pay the money.

Police investigations later revealed that the father had faked the whole process, and had made his son stay in a fish market with one of his friends. The beans were later spilled by the child.
