Enjoy the aquatic thrills of Laguna Waterpark, then go and experience a tropical rainforest like no other at Green Planet for just Dh150! Available for online bookings only, access both for a seven-day duration from the date of purchase.
Food and music
Fancy some live guitar tonight? Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens is kickstarting the weekend in style with a new Thursday evening brunch at Social Company. When it comes to real, authentic Mexican food, there’s only ‘juan’ place to be! El Chapo’s Tacos is introducing fiesta fun for all the family with a new ‘Los Chapitos Family Brunch’ launching this Saturday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. The Studio One Hotel Dubai restaurant will entertain your little amigos with arts and crafts in the Kids Cartel Cave including Mexican sombrero and poncho making while you sit back and savour an array of delicacies in the four-course brunch menu. Early indoor run
Get your trainers on and set your alarm because there’s an early 5k coming your way. Taking place on Friday from 6am, Festival Plaza in Dubai Festival City will host 300 runners for its first ever indoor run. Participants of ages 12 and above are being invited to sprint to finish a five-kilometre course. Medals await those who cross the finish line along with free breakfasts on the day at IKEA Restaurant and week-long exclusive offers across a load of brands. To take part, register through the Festival Plaza website.
If you’ve caught any of those Netfluix British specials including The Crown, you’ll know a weekend roast is an institution. This Friday you can get in on the act at Nassau by Chef Silvena Rowe. Located at Jumeirah Golf Estates, feast on a variety of hearty traditional dishes curated by the celebrity chef including a selection of grass-fed meats such as roast beef striploin, whole roast chcken or roasted shoulder of lamb; all served with Yorkie Pud, roast potatoes, a variety of vegetables and gravy. The Friday British Roast is from 1pm to 4pm every Friday and priced from Dh195.
Sharjah’s drive-in cinema has been an undoubted success. Welcoming 10 thousand visitors since opening, Movie Nights at Aljada isn’t, however, resting on its laurels. From this Friday back-to-back screenings are being introduced to keep up with demand over the weekend. The double bill this week begins from 8pm with kids cartoon favourite The Queen’s Corgi, followed by a showing of sci-fi classic The Matrix at 11pm.
