She had reportedly started to consume objects after being upset due to the death of a close relative.
When the 13-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu complained of frequent stomach aches, her parents took her to the VGM Hospital in Coimbatore.
Doctors initially tried to remove the foreign particles via endoscopy, but decided to operate when their attempt failed.
According to surgeon Gokul Kripashankar, him and his team conducted the operation, which was successful in dislodging the objects in the girl's stomach.
