Motorists were urged to take caution as heavy fog covered many parts of the country on Wednesday morning, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

In a statement on Wednesday, the NCM said poor horizontal visibility is expected at times over some internal and coastal areas, especially northern and central regions, between 1am and 9am.

Fog was reported in different parts of the country, including Al Maktoum Airport, Jebel Ali  in the early hours.
According to the NCM, today's weather will be fair to partly cloudy at times, with an increase in temperatures.

The maximum temperatures will range from 35°C to 39°C in the interior regions, 34°C to 38°C along the coast and 21°C to 25°C in the mountains.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
