Dubai Police has launched a new smart service through its mobile app that alerts drivers to any major accident that has taken place on the roads of the emirate.
The feature, that offers real-time alerts, aims to help drivers avoid traffic jams and plan their journeys better.
The application will also notify users of temporary street closures.
"Providing the community with smart solutions reflects Dubai Police’s keenness to achieve the strategic objectives of the government to transform Dubai into a smart city," said Brigadier Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police.
The new feature is available via the Dubai Police smart app on iOS and Android devices.
