Two people were injured in a UAE collision on Tuesday, according to a statement issued buy the National Ambulance on Wednesday.
The statement said that the National Ambulance team, alongside Sharjah Police and Civil Defense, responded to a major road traffic accident involving a car and a truck on the Sharjah-Khorfakkan road on Tuesday.
Two peope were injured in the crash - one of which was moderate (the passenger) and the other critical (the driver), who was trapped inside the truck.
The National Ambulance Communications Centre (ACC) received a call at 1:12pm yesterday about the incident - after which two ambulances and a first responder were immediately dispatched to the scene within 7 minutes of receiving the call.

The accident resulted in 2 injuries one of which was moderate (the passenger) and the other critical (the driver), who was trapped inside the truck. ?In detail, National Ambulance Communications Centre (ACC) received a call at 13:12pm yesterday about the above incident. 2 ambulances and 1 responder were immediately dispatched, the first of which arrived on scene within 7 mins from the call. The passenger was immediately treated on scene and transported to the hospital. The crew had to wait to attend to the the driver who was trapped inside the truck. The Civil Defense crew needed to cut away quite a lot of the truck to extricate him after which he was attended to by the #NationalAmbulance team. Both patients were transported to Khorfakkan hospital for further treatment @moiuae

The passenger was immediately treated on scene and transported to the hospital.
Paramedics had to wait to attend to the the driver who was trapped inside the truck. The Civil Defense crew had to cut open the truck to extricate him.
Both patients were transported to Khorfakkan hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have urged road users and truck drivers to drive safely, abide by speed limits and road rules.
