As the three- day long weekend came to an end, UAE residents embarked on the working week with traffic and chaos on the streets.
Dubai Police reported an accident through their official Twitter handle. "An accident on Al Khail Roadd towards Abu Dhabi, kindly take caution," the tweet read.

Another accident occurred on Rabat Street from Nad Al Hamar towards Festival City, causing delays and tailbacks, Dubai Police tweeted. They advised drivers to take caution and take alternative routes.
 
The main roads in Abu Dhabi are witnessing the traffic heavy congestion due to multiple accidents. Abu Dhabi Police tweeted about accidents on these arterial roads:
 

According to Google Maps data, heavy congestion was observed  on Mohammed Bin Zayed Road towards Dubai from Sharjah.

Motorists faced bumper to bumper traffic on Al Khalil Road towards Abu Dhabi around Business Bay.

Al Safa street, the World Trade Centre roundabout and areas near the Burj Khalifa are the usual spots to expect morning rush hour traffic.
