Revealed: UAE's most dangerous roads

Dubai - Sudden swerving was the number one cause of death.

A total of 76 people were killed and 884 injured as a result of accidents that took place in the first half of this year.
The Dubai Traffic Department of Dubai Police registered 1,250 traffic accidents in total. 
Emirates Road proved to be the most deadly, where 14 people died as a result of 30 accidents.
The next most dangerous road for motorists was Mohamed bin Zayed, where 72 accidents registered a total of 8 deaths.
Sheikh Zayed road came in third with 8 deaths from 69 accidents.
Four people were killed in 26 accidents along Dubai-Al Ain road.
Al Khail road was the least deadly, with 3 people dying out of a total of 34 accidents.
Sudden swerving was the number one cause of death, with 23 people dying as a result, followed by not leaving enough space between vehicles which killed 15 people.

Regarding the kinds of accidents, a total of 822 collisions between vehicles took place, and 212 were car crashes, whereas 163 were runover incidents.
