Three people died after two vehicles collided on the Emirates Road in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain .
The central operations room was alerted about the collision which took place in the direction of Sharjah, said Col Hassan Ali bin Sarm, director of the department of civil defence in Umm Al Quwain. Traffic patrols, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site.
"Three Asian passengers died on the spot," he said. "They were shifted to the morgue of the Sheikh Khalifa hospital."
Col Bin Sarm urged drivers to be cautious and fully attentive on the road. "All motorists need to observe traffic rules and regulations, fasten seat belts, and leave enough safety space."
