Motorists faced significant delays in Dubai and Sharjah on Thursday morning, especially on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road heading towards Dubai.
Dubai Police have issued a statement on Twitter and warned motorists about traffic congestion on Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Street towards Manama Street. They advised them to take alternative routes to avoid delays.
According to Google Maps data, an accident was reported on E 311 Road near Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, causing huge tailbacks.
Heavy congestion can also be seen on E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial area towards Muhaisnah in Dubai and motorists are experiencing extremely slow moving traffic.
Slow moving traffic was also reported on the E11 route - from Sharjah to Dubai - particularly in Al Nahda, leading up to Hor Al Anz East.

- E44 Road near Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 3
-D72 Road from Al Quoz 4 towards Al Khail
-E44 Road Al Awir road from Al Warqa to Ras Al Khor
-D63 Road near Motor City
-D67 Road near Emirates Hills
- E11 Road from Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club towards Abu Dhabi
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and take alternative routes where possible.
