Ajman Police rescued an eight-year-old Asian girl from a school bus after the driver tried to sexually abuse her while she was asleep.
The girl was locked in the school bus by the bus driver, who tried to sexually abuse her when she was sleeping after everyone had left the bus. He didn't let her off the bus and parked his car in front of his house while leaving her alone inside the bus till she was noticed by a passerby, who saw her standing looking panicked inside the bus.

Lt Colonel Ali Jaber Al Shamsi, Director of Ajman police stations said that the police received a notification from the passerby who noticed the girl in a school bus parked in Ajman's Lewara area. The police rushed to location where the bus was parked - found the man who contacted the police - and rescued the girl by opening the window of the bus to get her out.

"The girl was rushed to the hospital to ensure her safety. She was not raped and was taken to a psychiatrist for treatment and to provide her comfort from the trauma she had undergone.
"The girl told the police that on entering the school bus early in the morning, she fell asleep and didn't notice that all students left the bus. When she woke up she saw the bus driver approaching and 'harassing' her - she cried and pleaded him to let her go but the driver refused and he left her inside the locked bus," Al Shamsi recounted the incident.

Al Shamsi said that the Asian driver was immediately arrested. He denied the incident during interrogation, refuting the girl's claim, saying that he had not noticed that she was left in the bus.
"We found out from the school administration that they had not not employed a bus conductor and there were no surveillance cameras inside the bus. An investigation in underway to reveal more details," Al Shamsi added.
