This year, Global Village will host seven big fireworks shows on December 31, 2018 to ring in the New Year.
Each celebration will feature massive fireworks displays that will occur at the same time that the New Year is rung in at seven countries around the world. In addition, DJ Josh will play international remixes, and all the pavilions will get together to perform on stage as part of the celebrations, according to a statement issued by the organisers.

Visitors can also avail special New Year's Eve packages for only Dh249 offering discounts that are available in Global Village's Guest Care Center at Gate of the World entrance.
The special limited-edition New Year’s Eve Family Pack offers great value to families. It includes four entry tickets, one Carnaval card loaded with Dh100, two Cheeky Monkeys daycare coupons, one restaurant discount voucher with 15 per cent off and one Car Pass A. The pack is being sold only at the Guest Care Centre next to the Gate of the World at Global Village.

Under the theme "Explore, Experience, Enjoy. This Way!" Global Village fireworks displays will go live after the countdown to midnight will take place seven times, each time midnight strikes in one of the seven selected countries.

Thousands of guests are expected to participate in counting down the seconds till midnight, before the fireworks kick in, making it one of the biggest New Year's eve celebrations in the UAE.

Extended hours and Monday open for public

As part of the New Year celebrations, Global Village will be extending its hours as per the following:
December 31, 2018: 4.00 pm - 2.00 am (Global Village will be open for public and will be not a family day)
January 1, 2019: 4.00 pm - 12.00 am
NYE 2019 celebrations at Global Village are free to view and participate in as it is part of its entry ticket price of Dh15.
Season 23 of Global Village will operate until April 6, 2019.
