Outstanding Emirati graduates of Zayed University may now apply for the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Higher Education Grant, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek) has announced.
Offered in collaboration between the Emirates Foundation and Adek, the scholarship will enable talented students to pursue post-graduate education at renowned universities in the UAE or abroad.
The programme was established in May 2011 by the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development and aims to support the UAE's efforts in shaping a knowledge-based economy.
The initiative awards master's or doctorate scholarships to applicants who wish to pursue studies in areas that are vital to the country's growth, including education, social studies, tourism and science for majors in aeronautics and astronautics, nuclear engineering and management, and environment and engineering.
Applicants must be UAE nationals who are 21 years old and above and have earned their bachelor's degrees from Zayed University campuses. Male applicants must have a national service card or an official document that shows their national service status.
Applicants must also have an academic admission within the list of universities recommended by Adek. The admission must specify the type of the learning system, major, university education and studying period.
