Apps that help manage your mornings
The general rule of thumb is that a good night's sleep is around eight hours. But with late homework and stress, achieving the perfect amount of shut-eye can be challenging and later reflects on your early rising. You probably already sleep next to your smartphone, so here are a handful of apps you can take advantage of.
Alarm Clock Extreme
You can set the app to slowly increase the alarm's volume to wake you up gently. If you're a repeat snoozer, set up the large snooze button so that it prompts you to solve math problems to dismiss the alarm or snooze. You can also set the snooze period to decrease after each alarm and set a maximum number of snoozes to ensure you're out of bed in a timely manner.

Sleep Cycle
The app tracks your sleep patterns throughout the night. Then, using a 30-minute alarm window, Sleep Cycle will wake you in your lightest sleep phase. You can then view the data and see how well you slept, and if you can change any outside factors to have a subsequent better night's sleep.

Sleepytime Sleep Schedule
The app is designed to help you wake up in-between sleep cycles and allows you to start the day with a clear mind. Every time you sleep, you enter into a series of sleep cycles that last for around 90 minutes, but waking up during one of the cycles can make you feel groggy and exhausted. The app supports calculating when to wake up, when to go to sleep, and when to wake up if you sleep now.
