Kane Williamson will captain the T20 World Cup squad for a fourth time as New Zealand hunt for a maiden title
On December 19, 2017, the Pakistani driver, 40, allegedly told the teenager that he loved her as he grabbed her left hand. She pulled her hand away and stepped out. Her ring was left behind and she did not pay the Dh120 taxi fare.
The student told the prosecutor she filed a complaint the next day at Al Rafaa police station after he harassed her continuously on WhatsApp. "He kept saying he loved me and that he wanted to visit me to kiss me. He then sent me a photo of his hand with my ring on," she said.
The girl called him to pay him the taxi fare. She was with her friends and asked him to accompany them to the police station, to which he agreed. The complainant said she did not say or do anything that might have encouraged the driver to behave in this manner.
During the public prosecution investigation, the driver admitted he told the complainant she was pretty and he loved her as a friend. He also admitted he expressed his desire to kiss her.
