The Ras Al Khaimah Civil Court has ordered a Gulf landlady to pay Dh32,215 plus 9 per cent interest effective from last August.
As per court records, both litigants had reached an agreement whereby the contracting company built a two-storey villa against Dh670,000 and an annex worth Dh90,000.
As per the signed contract, the construction works had to be completed in 16 months.
The contractor, as per the sheet of the sheet of indictment, honoured the contract terms, and finished 62 per cent of the project.
The consultant of the contracting company has warned her against the extension of the contract, and the need to pay due Installments.
The landlady, however, turned deaf ears, and kept holding back the project.
The contractor tried to terminate the contract, but failed to reach the woman.
