Man pays blood money, proposes to prisoner in Dubai

Dubai - After serving 5 years in jail, she had no money or family to help get her freedom.

A man paid for a female prisoner's blood money and asked for her hand in marriage in Dubai.
According to sources from Arabic media, a 21-year-old Arab woman had married a 37-year-old man a few years ago.
He already had a wife and three children, but she had no idea at the time of their marriage and agreed because he worked in Dubai.
One week after the marriage took place, his first wife learned of their nuptials and left for her home country.
The three daughters were left to the second wife. He refused to let her work, demanding she take care of them.
After a short time, she also gave birth to a son and was taking care of all four children. His daughters also came to love her and they became a close knit, well-adjusted family.
Tragedy struck when the youngest of her step-daughters had an accident while riding her bike. 
The woman relates that she had been tending her son indoors when she heard a loud commotion and horrific scream. She ran out to see the little girl covered in blood. The maids and the rest of the sisters began to panic. 
She called her husband and informed him of what happened, who told her to take the girl to the hospital. A short while after being admitted to the intensive care unit, doctors informed them that the girl had passed away.
The mother of the child was called in, who immediately accused the second wife of pushing the girl off her bike and that she was the reason the child was dead. 
No evidence or alibi could attest to her innocence, and she was found guilty and jailed for 10 years.
Her husband abandoned her, and she sent her child to her mother in her home country to raise in the interim. 
After memorising the Qur'an, her sentence was reduced to 5 years. Upon finishing her sentence, she was unable to walk free because she still owed the family of the deceased child the blood money awarded to them. Neither her family nor her husband came to her aid. 
Exemplary conduct helped her stand out when a woman from a charity foundation learned of her case and told her brother about the woman's plight. 
He corresponded with the prisoner's family and became convinced of her innocence. He paid the blood money and proposed to her. 
After some time, she agreed. Upon getting a divorce from her first husband, she married the man who helped her gain her freedom.
