If the Sharjah Municipality impounds your car, it will deliver it back to your doorstep after you pay the fine for the violation.
All the owner needs to do is go to the customer service centre of the municipality in Sharjah industrial area number 5, present documents - national ID, car registration card and violation ticket - pay the fine and request the delivery of the car at any desired location.

The municipality charges a small fee for the service, but the car is delivered on the same day.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Ali Hassan Ali, head of the car impounding section at Sharjah Municipality, said the service has been introduced to make life easy for residents as the impoundment lot is located away from the city, making it difficult for people to collect their cars personally.
Ali explained that the municipality's inspectors only impound abandoned cars, dirty cars parked in unauthorised areas and cars that don't have licence plates.
Cars that don't have number plates are immediately confiscated as they are used by illegal residents as a place of shelter and by criminals to store banned materials like alcohol and niswar.
Violations that result in impoundment attract a fine of Dh1,000, which is doubled for repeat offences.
The municipality first puts a warning sticker on cars that are marked for impoundment. The car is to be removed within 24 hours if it is parked on the main road; in 48 hours if parked in commercial and industrial areas; and 72 hours if parked in residential areas.
When on vacation:

After the stipulated period, the car is confiscated and sent to the impoundment lots located on the Sharjah-Umm Al Quwain border and Sharjah industrial areas 11 and 12.
Hassan Abdulrazaq, director of municipal inspection and operation, said impounded vehicles are auctioned off within a period of six months.
In 2015, the municipality issued 30,000 impoundment warning notices, and impounded 10,000 cars, he said.
He urged residents going outside the country for vacation to leave their cars in private parking lots or with a relative. Don't leave the car in public car parking lots or open areas, he warned.
Abdulrazaq warned that full body covers for cars are not allowed, as they cover the licence plates of cars.
