A 22-year-old Briton fell to his death from the tallest mountain in the UAE - Jabal Jais in Ras Al Khaimah - on Saturday.
According to police sources, the victim, identified as G.A., was on top of the 1,910-metre mountain, when he slipped and fell off it. The police dispatched an air ambulance to the spot after they were notified about the mishap. However, G.A. had died before paramedics reached the site.
The body was airlifted to the morgue of the Saqr Hospital.
Dr Yusuf Al Tair, manager of the Saqr Hospital, said the victim was declared brought dead at the hospital.
