Tamil film stars poised to perform live

DUBAI - Max Media and Roja Combines, the organisers of the Tamil Mega Star Night 2003, have confirmed that the UAE chapter of the global event will be held on May 29 at the Al Ahli Stadium in Ghusais.

Showcasing the talent of 45 South Indian film stars under the aegis of the Tamil Film Producers Council, the 'Tamil Mega Star Night 2003' is the largest event of its kind to be staged across the world. Ticket sales for the event will commence on May 15 here.

K. Muralidaran, president of the Tamil Film Producers Council, said that among the 45 South Indian film stars who were scheduled to participate in the stage show, there would be mainstream and parallel cinema artistes, national and state award winning actors, and popular film stars who together have a following of millions of cine-goers across the world.

"We already have veterans like Vijayakant, Kamal Hassan, Mohan Lal, Mammooty, Sharath Kumar, Prabhu, Jayaram, Kala Bhavan Mani and popular heroines Jyotika, Meena, Rambha, Kushboo, Radhika and Reema Sen rehearsing with us. And there will be quite a few surprises for the audience as the event unfolds on stage," he said.

According to Vijay Babu, Director, Max Media, tickets for the event have been priced at Dh50, Dh100, Dh150, Dh200, Dh300 and Dh500. "Tickets will be available at more than 300 supermarkets, hypermarkets and restaurants across Dubai.
