A spokesperson of the department said that the photographs entered in the competition will be displayed in the Visual and Audio exhibition to be held on November 4 at the Sharjah Art Museum.
The competition covers two topics chosen to match the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan, including photographs on the heritage and religious buildings in the UAE and a collage projecting the religious spirit of the month.
Each contestant can enter the competition with three to five works on one of the topics. The deadline for submitting the entries is October 11.
The department has allocated a cash prize of $3,000 for the first winner, $2,000 for the second and $1,000 for the third.
