The technical committee at the municipality had discussed the project during a session chaired by Qassim Sultan Al Banna, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, after having reviewed the memo of the Building and Housing Department and the analysis of the Contracts and Purchasing Department and the Finance Department.

Some five consultancy firms had applied for the project, and one company had been chosen. The project is part of the Dubai government's efforts to raise the standard of living of UAE nationals and to provide them with suitable houses.

The committee has recommended that the Contracts and Purchasing Department complete the necessary formalities for the awarding of the project to the chosen company, and to submit it to the Director General for final approval.
