Abu Dhabi — Future trends in policing will be discussed at a forum being organised at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters on April 7.

Titled ‘Shaping the Future of Policing’, the forum will bring together an elite group of international experts in this field.

The forum is being held under the patronage of Lt.-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Major-General Dr Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said the forum will be a platform for interaction with international experts on a variety of topics to explore potential future changes that may affect government activities. Recommendations and suggestions will be made that would contribute to further develop the applied global standards and mechanisms.

Advanced means and technologies provide planning theories coupled with appropriate solutions that would enhance the efficiency of ... officials’ decisions for the benefit of society.”

The forum will discuss a number of topics and themes, including the history of future studies and strategic outlooks around the world; integration between strategic planning and future outlook; and the advantages of future outlook in police institutions. — Wam
