The images released show how much Dubai has changed during the span of 34 years. While it turned into a major business hub and a global city, its population increased from 350,000 to over 3 million people. It became home to major architectural marvels of the world including Burj Khalifa. With its growth, Dubai altered its coastline, adding artificial land, buildings and ports.
