Dubai Police issues poor visibility warning on roads

Poor visibility disrupted traffic movement at several roads in the UAE on Thursday morning.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned motorists to take precautions on roads in the expected bad horizontal visibility due to blowing dust and sand. The strong winds are expected to blow in dust and reduce visibility with a reduction in road visibility to less than 2,000 metres.

Dubai Police warned motorists via Twitter to take extra caution while driving during low visibility. Motorists are urged to take extra caution.
According to Google Map reports, Shaikh Zayed Road witnessed traffic snarls after an accident occurred on E11 Sheikh Zayed Road nearAl Safa Road.

Another accident reported near Mega Mall, which led to slow-moving traffic from Sharjah towards Dubai.

Backlog was reported on the Ras Al Khor Road at the intersection with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and on Shaikh Zayed Road from Wafi Mall exit towards Trade Centre.

Slow moving traffic was observed on Sheikh Zayed Road's E11 - from Al Nahda street, according to Google Maps data.
