Week-old-baby dumped in Sharjah garbage container
A week-old baby girl was found abandoned in a garbage container of Sharjah Municipality in Al Yash area on Wednesday.
A police source said that a passer-by heard a baby crying and tracked the noise until he found the little one wrapped in a baby’s blanket without any other clothes on her.
He informed the police about the situation, and patrol, ambulance and forensic personnel rushed to the spot and shifted her to Al Qasimi Hospital where she is currently receiving the necessary medical care.
The forensic expert lifted fingerprints and collected other pieces of evidence. The police have launched a search for the person who dumped the baby in the garbage container, endangering her life.
A source at Al Qasimi Hospital said the baby brought to the hospital in the afternoon was malnourished and the hospital staff immediately started feeding her and giving necessary care.
