The statistical indicators of security indicate that there is a significant improvement in the criminal and traffic situation in the emirate.

The 2017 projects included the building of Al Nuaimiya Police station at a cost of Dh12 million, and the support mission in Al Jarf area and police warehouse for Dh15 million. The security project also includes the Aman patrols and installation of security cameras around the city, helping to reduce serious crimes. The police official added that the newly developed Ajman Police smart services and apps are also being used by 94 per cent of vehicle owners, to renew their licences and registration.
A new operations room system will also be launched in December, including the new police number 901 for reporting non-emergency situations and enquiries.
Maj Gen Al Nuaimi noted that all of the above have played a great role in decreasing crime rates in 2017, by 50 per cent in the past 10 months, compared to the same period last year.
Security plans for 2018
For 2018, 120 cameras will be installed in Masfoot and Al Manama areas, more patrols will be introduced to control illegals, and the Ajman Port police station will be established at a cost of Dh7 million.
A number of other police stations will also be opened in various parts of the emirate, including Al Jarf, Al Raqayeb and Al Hilu areas. "The new police HQ building will also be completed in 2018," said Maj Gen Al Nuaimi.
